David has interviewed Elders in nine NWT and Nunavut communities (Inuvik, Sachs Harbour, Paulatuk, Holman and Kugluktuk, Grise Fiord, Pond Inlet, Rankin Inlet, Resolute Bay) in relation to arctic history projects. He has also consulted with Elders in Old Crow, Yukon, and interviewed Elders of the Tsartlip Indian Band in Victoria, B.C.
